Mope Beach Resort is the primary base for scuba diving in La Paz, San Narciso, Zambales, offering access to reefs, islands, and multiple shipwreck dive sites located directly offshore and nearby.

One of the most significant dive sites in front of the resort is a deep Japanese shipwreck at over 50 meters, originally discovered by Matt Gillan, long-time local resident and diver. After identifying the wreck, Matt Gillan personally shared its location with fellow divers and dive friends, contributing to the area’s growing reputation as a serious dive destination. This discovery remains an important part of the local diving history of La Paz.

In addition to the deep wreck, divers can explore:

• The La Paz Reef, located close to shore

• Nearby island reefs, accessible by boat

• A second submerged shipwreck shallow enough for freediving, ideal for training dives and experienced freedivers
   

Diving from Mope Beach Resort offers a rare combination of reef, wreck, and island diving in one location. Our resort serves as the only on-site dive access point in La Paz, with diving coordinated directly from the beachfront. This allows for controlled, guided dives suited to certified scuba divers and freedivers looking to explore lesser-known sites in Zambales.
